Hana Rupnowl

Aloha kakou! Hello everyone!

My name is Hana. I grew up in Kaneohe Bay, Oahu. After attending college in the Pacific Northwest, I moved back home to warm my bones and work in Natural Resource Management. My heart is forever passionate about environmental conservation from mauka to makai, mountains to sea, and my goal in life is to help people connect to the natural world, build self-awareness, and cultivate an intentional community.

I started volunteering with a local non-profit last year, AccesSurf, which helps people with disabilities go surfing, swimming, and canoe paddling. After experiencing the positive impacts of this hands-on work and witnessing profound joy, I feel called to work as an Occupational Therapist. Currently, I am working as a Behavioral Rehabilitation Technician to gain more experience in early intervention. I have worked in youth development for multiple years from teaching swimming lessons, leading overnight hiking trips, and home health rehabilitation. My hobby is collecting hobbies, anything outdoors, but recently I have set the intention to learn how to juggle (like with juggling balls, not just my time between school/work/life)!

I look forward to learning with you!
