Katie Tankersley

Katie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She received her master’s in social work from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and has worked in mental health since 2018 as an inpatient and outpatient therapist.

Katie has experience working with adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety disorders, OCD, sleep difficulties, body image, relationships, and trauma. Katie is trained in Brainspotting, clinical trauma interventions, Emotional Freedom Technique, mindfulness-based interventions, and CBT for insomnia.

Her approach is trauma-informed, with a strong emphasis on the connection between mind and body. Katie believes in working with each client to create an individualized plan of care that balances practical coping mechanisms and problem solving skills while learning to explore deeper emotions and traumas. Katie's goal in the therapeutic relationship is to create a safe and genuine space where clients can feel seen, heard, and empowered.
