Our Mental Health staff at Sandal Gap is committed to forming strong relationships built on trust and safety. We ensure that all of our staff members are trauma-informed to provide the best possible care available. Our therapists are trained in a wide variety of theoretical treatment modalities designed to meet the unique needs of the clients that we serve.
We have staff available to work with all age groups and diagnoses that are specific to their training and area of expertise. We want to make sure that our therapists will be a good match for you and your specific situation to ensure that you are receiving the best care possible.
Psychotherapy is one of the most traditional forms of therapy and is also referred to as "talk therapy". Our therapists are trained in a wide variety of theoretical orientations, which will be differ between each therapist, as well as based on what the need of the client is.
Ecotherapy, also known as "nature therapy," is a form of therapeutic treatment that can be implemented outdoor activities in nature. Our therapists will engage with their clients in a wide variety of settings and activities based on the need that is unique to the client.
Somatic therapy seeks to understand the connection between the mind and body. It is a form of body-centered therapy that combines a combination of psychotherapy and physical therapy techniques, sometimes referred to as "mind-body exercises".
